What does “Tier-1” mean for you?

Most affordable laptops save costs by using “B-grade” or generic internals. We don’t. We use Tier-1 components—the same grade of memory and battery cells found in high-end workstations.

No Sudden Failures

Tier-1 SSDs offer higher Total Bytes Written (TBW). Your drive won’t just be fast on day one; it will stay reliable for years of heavy compile cycles or data transfers.

True Capacity

Generic batteries often degrade after 300 cycles. Our Tier-1 cells are rated for long-cycle life, maintaining their charge and safety standards even after years of daily use.

About Us

I started Endurabook because I was tired of seeing good hardware thrown away for bad reasons. As a long‑time Linux user, I’ve seen how free software can liberate people from forced upgrades, planned obsolescence, and unnecessary e‑waste.

Endurabook is my attempt to build something better — a laptop that’s repairable by design, free from the Windows tax, and made in a transparent, ethically audited supply chain. I’m working directly with Shenzhen ZRC Industrial Co., an established manufacturer, to create a Linux‑first machine that prioritises longevity.

I’m not a big company. I’m a single founder building this openly, with the community involved at every step. You’ll see the real process — the prototypes, the decisions, the trade‑offs, and the improvements driven by your feedback. Already, the proposed spec has been shaped by current subscribers.

If our standards aren’t met, we won’t ship — and we’ll refund pre‑orders in full.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are “Tier-1” components?

Most affordable laptops use generic or “B-grade” internals to save costs. We exclusively use Tier-1 batteries and SSDs from top-tier manufacturers (like ATL, SMI, LG, or SK Hynix). This ensures higher endurance, faster speeds, and a battery that won’t degrade after just one year.

Will it run my favorite Linux distro?

Yes. The Endurabook ships with Zorin OS for a seamless out-of-the-box experience. However, we are actively testing compatibility for Ubuntu, Mint, Debian, Fedora, and Manjaro to ensure all hardware “just works” across the ecosystem.

Is this a real product?

Yes. We are working directly with Shenzhen ZRC Industrial Co. to customize their proven chassis for Linux users. The unit in our videos is a real hardware prototype. We will finalize all safety and ethical audits before shipping in 2026.

How much will it cost?

We are targeting a retail price of ~£600, significantly more affordable than most Linux laptops

How can you guarantee 15 years of updates?

Unlike Windows or macOS, Linux distributions often support hardware for decades. We ensure your software remains secure and up-to-date long after mainstream manufacturers have abandoned their devices.

Is my payment secure?

Pre-orders will be processed via PayPal, providing you with full buyer protection. If our exacting quality standards are not met during the final validation phase, all pre-orders will be automatically cancelled and refunded.

Is it truly repairable?

Absolutely. We avoid the industry trend of soldering components. The RAM, SSD, and battery are all user-replaceable with standard tools.
